Kraken Power GmbH

Kraken Power GmbH is specialized in the development, production and distribution of pressure neutral propulsion-, power supply- and control technology for underwater robots. Additionally, the company offers consultation in the field of pressure neutral technology, plus the development and production of pressure neutral system solutions. The company works on pressure neutral technologies and products for the subsea market and is internationally recognized for specialized deep-sea components, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV’s) and remotely operated vehicles (ROV’s). The unique pressure neutral potting technology of Kraken Power GmbH enables the functioning of propulsion, control and power-supply to a water depth of 6.000 metres without a more expensive pressure housing being necessary.

MARIKOM GMBH

The company was founded in 2002 as an independent non-profit non-university economy-related engineering institution for research and development. Its business fields include services and development tasks in connection with maritime technologies, methods, procedures, installations and devices. The focus of research concerns the fluid-structure interactions of maritime systems and the long-term behavior of materials in a rough environment, which is analyzed by means of numerical simulators as well as experimental examinations in the laboratory and/or at sea.

MBT GMBH

We are a sales and consulting company for marine and underwater technology. We focus on the sales and service of oceanographic, geophysical and hydrographic measuring instruments and systems. We offer numerous services relating to maritime technology – from integration and commissioning all the way to training and maintenance. Further, we have our own calibration and testing facility for oceanographic instrumentation.

We develop and produce offshore assemblies and propulsions, preferential in pressure neutral technology, as well as assemblies and machines for power engineering.
Main focuses are contactless electrical power supply-, transmission- and distributions-systems plus several underwater propulsions. Via own PCB-CAD- and production systems, CAD-systems for design and construction of submersible motors as well as devices for pressure neutral socketing of assemblies and motors, we are able to produce short-term developed sample assemblies and small series.

SubCtech GmbH

SubCtech GmbH develops and produces high-precision, high-innovative and high-reliable products for offshore industries and ocean science. CO2 analyzers, underway vessel systems, sensor packs for ROV or AUV are offered for environmental monitoring. The highlighting features are long-term stability, robustness, minimal maintenance and automatic calibrations. Li-Ion batteries are available for UW stations, AUV or ROV up to 100+ kWh up to 6000m. Production is carried out according to IPC class 3 and is qualified according to ISO 13628:6, MIL-STD 810G or API17f.

UNIVERSITY OF ROSTOCK – INSTITUTE OF AUTOMATION

UNIVERSITY OF ROSTOCK – FACULTY OF MARITIME TECHNOLOGY

In its application-oriented fundamental research, the Faculty of Maritime Technology primarily focuses on the development, validation and application of theoretical and experimental methods for the reliable forecast of stresses, movements and deformations of various maritime structures. In connection with securing a guaranteed service life of underwater systems, experimental analyses for the aging of polymer materials under marine application conditions are also part of the research portfolio.
